Beats for the Technical Dummy

Here's my definition: Sound is our brain creates the sensation (or "hear"), the vibrations in the air cause our eardrums move or vibrate. We are surrounded by air - but usually do not realize, except when the wind blows. But the wind is large and relatively slow movement - like the current in a stream. The sound is also a movement of air - but much smaller and faster movements - like waves on a pond.

So, what exactly is sound? When it hits the drum, for example, the head drum then gets pushed, as a type of flexible, it comes back on. But that's not where it was. Because it has mass keeps moving and pushes (like swing continues to move after it pushed). Then, flexible head drum snaps back until it pushes back, and so on - it still vibrates back and forth until it runs out of energy. We see this move as a vibration, as it happens hundreds of times a second.
